Gloss TV Features VH-1’s Tough Love

Reaching Women with Gloss Media!
OBJECTIVE: In 2009, Gloss Media was hired to create awareness and build strong interest among women for VH1's new reality show "Tough Love", starring professional matchmaker Steve Ward.
STRATEGY: The program was implemented across 250 salons and was supplemented with salon digital spot advertising across the top three markets. Gloss Media ran thirty second spots featuring the Tough Love trailer within their network of Grade ‘A’ salon venues. Beautifully branded foam cushion emery boards and detailed Tough Love tune-in information were used on patrons during manicure/pedicure sessions. These distributed to all customers. The salons also supplied custom branded Essie Nail Polish to promote the specially created VH1 Tough Love color.
RESULTS: Increased awareness to the exact target market. The program and salon brand-ables were very well received by both salon venues and the target audience, attributing to the success of the reality series, which was also picked up for another season.
